Program Summary

Leadership means many things to many people. For some, Leadership is a way to explore personal mastery.  For others, Leadership is a word focused on influencing, motivating, empowering, and/or maximizing efforts—in essence, leading a group of people to success.  What does leadership mean to you? What excites you about this?

In this collaborative and interactive workshop, Tanja will utilize a coaching approach to explore:

  5. Creating a culture of trust:  The power of relationships

  7. Feedback and Feedforward

About Your Facilitator

Tanja Halsall, MA, CPHR,  provides consulting services to various local businesses through her consulting company Potentia Human Resources and Engagement Consulting, is an Adjunct Professor with the UBC Faculty of Management  teaching in the Masters of Management program, and holds the position of Director of People and Community Engagement with the Canadian Mental Health Association in Kelowna.  She has 30 years of Human Resource and management experience including significant coaching and career development for professionals in Professional Services, Health Care, Manufacturing, Hospitality, and most recently the Not-for-Profit sector.

Tanja holds a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, a Post- Diploma in Human Resource Management and initially began her commitment to learning while working towards her Bachelor of Education.  She has completed the Grant Thornton executive coaching program and most recently, Tanja has completed her Masters of Leadership through Royal Roads University.

When working with Tanja, you can expect her to have a coaching style to communication and leadership.  She takes pride in focusing on drawing out the best in each person by building strong relationships, identifying and building on individuals’ personal strengths, and helping them reach their full potential.
