Program Summary

Do you spring out of bed in the morning thinking “I really hope I have the opportunity to deal with some conflict at work today”?

If you are like most of us, you probably wish you could call in sick to avoid having to deal with workplace conflict. Research shows that most of us choose to avoid and accommodate, to put up and shut up, rather than take action to resolve issues that are bothering us at work. We hope that somehow the issue will magically disappear. It rarely does and on the contrary, the longer we delay dealing with an issue the more challenging it becomes to resolve it.

The good news is that research shows that over 95% of workplace conflicts are resolved within 3 – 5 days — if someone makes a choice to speak up effectively and respectfully. This session will equip and empower you to be able to make that choice.

Target Audience

This session will benefit AAPS members interested in developing communication skills to assist in resolving workplace conflict and speak up for themselves, regardless of their position in the organization and current circumstances.
