Bargaining 2012 Update: Highlights of Roundtables

As part of the consultation process for the upcoming round of collective bargaining, a series of roundtables were conducted at UBC’s Point Grey and Okanagan campuses and at VGH. The roundtables were well attended and provided the opportunity for a robust exchange of ideas among members.

Despite a wide variation of work locations and experiences, several core themes emerged from the dialogue: job security, compensation, professional development funding, and hours of work. Read more about Bargaining 2012 Update: Highlights of Roundtables

UBC Housing Action Plan Forum - January 18, 2012

AAPS members at the Vancouver campus may be interested in attending the upcoming UBC Housing Action Plan Forum on January 18, 2012.

The Community Planning Task Group of the UBC Board of Governors, chaired by Dr. Nassif Ghoussoub, is developing a Housing Action Plan for the Vancouver campus with a key objective of improving housing choice and affordability for faculty, staff and students. A public forum has been organized to provide an update on progress made on development of the Plan.
