Volunteer Opportunity: University-Wide Health and Safety Committee

Regardless of the nature of work that you do, it is important that you and your colleagues are working in an environment that is healthy and safe.

To ensure that our workplaces are healthy and safe we need the experiences and points of view of members in diverse roles, departments, and locations to serve as AAPS worker representatives on a UBC Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

This committee provides feedback and guidance to the University on a wide variety of health and safety issues such as workspaces and campus buildings, to how we do our jobs. Contribute to the UBC community in a meaningful way by volunteering your time on this committee.

The Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee positions are open to AAPS members in administrative units who are not managers with direct staff reports.

If you are located in one of the buildings on this list and are interested in participating, please contact sarah.muff@ubc.ca.

We hope that you will strongly consider joining this important university-wide committee.
