Program Summary

No other skill is as vital to success as the ability to stand up in front of a group and effectively communicate information that will influence others' thinking and actions. This day-long session will help you to improve your presentation skills by providing you with strategies and proven techniques for preparing a successful presentation and developing your delivery skills.

This session is designed to offer participants an overview of key presentation skills and Bruna Martinuzzi’s method for preparing and delivering a presentation. If you are new to giving presentations or feel you need to improve your skills for both large and small audiences, this session may help improve your technique and offer you some presentation best practices.

Please note this is an all-day session. If you are not available to attend the full day, we kindly ask that you do not register. We will be offering shorter presentation skills sessions later on in the year.

Bruna Martinuzzi is the President of Clarion Enterprises Ltd., a consulting company specializing in leadership, emotional intelligence and presentation skills training and development.  In addition to the U.S. and Canada, she conducts extensive training in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. Some of her clients include Microsoft, TELUS, and Saputo. Her training sessions are fast paced, information-packed, and incredibly practical.  Her style has been labeled as warm, inspiring, and engaging.

Bruna also lectures at the Simon Fraser University MBA PDP program, the Sauder School of Business MBA PDP program, and The University of Northern BC.  She also teaches management development programs for corporate clients of SFU Learning Strategies Group. Bruna speaks at numerous events, including the TELUS Leadership Forums and the annual International Microsoft ExPo Leadership events.

Bruna speaks six languages and holds a Bachelor of Arts (1982) and a Master of Arts (1986) from the University of British Columbia.  She is the recipient of several awards, including the Izaak Killam Pre-doctoral Fellowship for three years in a row, the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada Award, and the BC Workplace Excellence Award for Unusual Innovation.  

Bruna is the author of Presenting with Credibility: Practical Tools and Techniques for Effective Presentations (2012) and The Leader As A Mensch: Become The Kind Of Person Others Want To Follow (2009.)  She is also a business columnist for American Express Business.
