Program Summary

The ability to develop a strong sense of teamwork is a critical skill for any leader that manages a team, and in fact teamwork may be one of the few sustainable advantages that organizations can have in today’s competitive world. This workshop is designed to provide the skills to leaders that help diagnose how their own team is performing and to identify the steps that need to be taken to optimize it. Skills are taught through a hands-on team-based simulation that exposes all of the common pitfalls.

The areas we will focus on are building trust and resolving conflict, communication and feedback on teams, team structure, roles, responsibilities and decision making on teams, team meetings, developing guiding principles.

Audience

This session is reserved for members who are managers with direct staff reports or who manage project teams. If you are not a manager, please see our related topic Be a High Performance Team Member. Your Facilitator

Russel is one of Kwela Consulting’s two founders and his expertise includes leadership development, team development, executive coaching, and training on a wide variety of topics.

 He has worked extensively as a leadership consultant / trainer since 2004 across a wide variety of sectors, including government, publicly-held, and non-profit.  Russel's experience also includes 14 years in the high technology/engineering sector, where he held management roles in product development, marketing, customer service and training. Russel holds a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa
