The current Collective Agreement with the University expires June 30, 2014. Work is already underway to prepare for the next round of bargaining. However, it is essential that we get member feedback as we develop proposals to present to the University. To that end we will be hosting a series of roundtables in the new year to facilitate an open and frank dialogue about priorities for management and professional employees at UBC.

This memo contains important information regarding implementation dates and rules, as well as, the job family levels affected by the first phase of the implementation of the market survey.

AAPS is pleased to confirm that the 2012 Collective Agreement has been ratified by the AAPS membership and the University.

We had an exemplary voter turnout with nearly 40% of members registering a vote.

As outlined in a recent email the results of the membership vote were:
1,316   In Favour
     35   Opposed
1,351   Total Votes

The UBC Board of Governors ratified the agreement on January 18, 2013.

According to UBC Human Resources, the general wage increase will likely be implemented on January 31, 2013 and will be retroactive to July 1, 2012.
