Your Employment Contract with UBC: Register Now for AAPS Consultations

Dear AAPS Members,

Please join us for one of the upcoming in-person member consultations regarding your employment contract with UBC.

You can register here and view the dates, times, and locations.

Why Participate?

These sessions, along with the feedback that we have received through your postcards, bargaining questionnaire and feedback forms will serve as the basis for our upcoming contract negotiations with UBC. These negotiations are commonly called collective bargaining.

Collective bargaining is your opportunity to make changes to your work contract with UBC. This may include changes to the language in the collective agreement, clarifying certain articles and processes in the collective agreement, or negotiating general wage increases.

Our aim through these in-person bargaining consultations is to answer your questions, and make sure you have the best information about your contract with UBC.

This is also an opportunity for you to share your different workplace experiences and ideas and hopefully create a better understanding among members about the AAPS community at UBC.

If you have specific questions about the sessions please contact AAPS Member Services Officer Sarah Muff at

These general sessions are designed for members who would like to:

  •            Learn more about the collective bargaining process
  •            Gain a better understanding of how collective bargaining issues are currently being addressed in the collective agreement
  •            Hear what your fellow members have said so far
  •            Ask questions
  •            Make additional comments and suggestions on collective bargaining issues

Will there be other opportunities to give feedback for collective bargaining?

In September we will be hosting more topic and cohort specific sessions. At any time you can provide your comments and ideas through the bargaining feedback form on the AAPS website.

We hope to see you all at the consultations. Register here.
