AAPS Notice of Elections

We are so grateful for the overwhelming amount of support that you have demonstrated through the Board nominations process. We received an unprecedented number of members running for the AAPS Board of Directors. As a labour organization that thrives on the engagement of our members, we couldn’t be prouder. We very much appreciate each member who put their name forward.

AAPS Support Amidst Geopolitical Challenges, Anti-SOGI Protests, and Orange Shirt Day

September 30 marks Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This significant day is dedicated to commemorating the legacy of residential school survivors, the children who never returned home, as well as their families and communities. It is important to recognize that many Indigenous staff may require support leading up to this day to grieve, heal, and pay tribute to their families, friends, and communities. AAPS represents over 6,000 Management and Professional staff at UBC and we value the diversity of our members.

The growing opposition to improving the rights and well-being of 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals is deeply troubling. We recognize that these anti-SOGI protests impact many of you. 

AAPS stands firmly with our 2SLGBTQIA+ members. We value you, your perspectives, and your contributions.
