Tax season is here, and we know it can be stressful for many AAPS members. Whether you are looking to find ways to maximize your return or would simply like to get a better understanding of the Canadian tax system, AAPS is pleased to bring back one of our most popular sessions. Chartered Professional Accountant, Dayna Holland's enthusiastic and friendly approach may even help you look forward to filing your taxes this year. In addition to the presentation, there will also be plenty of time for questions.

Audience for Part 2
This session is geared for members who have more complex tax situations and already have a good understanding of their taxes and the Canadian tax system. Kindly note that not all members will have complex situations. For many members, filing taxes is straightforward. Not sure if this session is right for your situation? Please contact aaps.pd@ubc.ca. Participant Expectations for the Live Zoom Sessions

- The live Zooms will be held on the AAPS Zoom webinar platform, and auto-captions will be enabled
- Dayna will talk through the presentation, and we’ll leave plenty of time for questions at the end of the session
- We will record the presentation portion of the session and turn off the recording for the Q&A

About Your Facilitator
For many the word tax doesn't always bring happy thoughts. It’s Dayna’s mission to change that. Her goal is to share her knowledge and expertise and to bring new awareness and understanding when it comes to tax implications and planning. Nothing brings her more joy than when a client finds out about a deduction they didn't know about—that's why educating clients is one of Dayna’s favourite things to do!
Dayna Holland is a Chartered Professional Accountant at Affirm LLP. Dayna started her career as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young LLP. She worked for a couple of technology related companies before starting her own public accounting practice in November 2007. At the end of 2022, she joined Affirm LLP.
Outside the world of accounting, Dayna is a mom, wife and enjoys her time skiing and hanging out with her friends.

The AAPS Professional Development program is designed for and offered exclusively to AAPS members at no cost. AAPS members can register to attend one of the live Zoom sessions or access the recorded version. Before registering, please consider your schedule and your ability to actively participate.
