AAPS is in the process of moving our professional development activities online. We are also looking at designing programs that will be relevant to you now that our work and home lives changed.

If you are an AAPS member and have suggestions for topics or facilitators that you think would benefit you and your colleagues across UBC, please let us know.

About Our Programs

The AAPS Professional Development Program encourages members at all locations to develop professional skills to enhance your current work environment, support your career goals, and support you in your job and life. The program aims to connect members through a variety of learning opportunities and share the objectives of the association in creating respectful and just workplaces.

The AAPS Professional Development program is solely for the members of the Association of Administrative and Professional Staff and is separate from the University. Only AAPS members can participate in our programs. Our programs are offered to members at no upfront cost.


AAPS hosts a series of networking events throughout the year, giving you an opportunity to build your professional network and often learn a little something too. Past events have included wine tasting, tours of interesting places and spaces at UBC, pub nights, recreational events.
