AAPS Collective Bargaining: Your Help is Needed

We have now reached a point in time when your help is needed to move forward in bargaining. Your Bargaining Committee has taken negotiations as far as we can on our own. Bargaining Update - May 29, 2023

The AAPS bargaining team met with the University’s bargaining team on Thursday and Friday last week. Bargaining centred primarily on monetary items during these sessions. Discussions with the University were generally positive until we reached the issue of compensation.

Please find below an update on collective bargaining.

Non-Monetary Items

We met with UBC on Friday, April 28th. During that time, we made good progress on matters related to dispute resolution between AAPS and the University.

Monetary Items and Next Update

We also began the conversation about compensation at this meeting. The parties’ compensation proposals remain far apart, but discussions were respectful and productive. Read more about Bargaining Update - May 2023
