Bargaining Update - April 2023

Please find below an update on the progress we have made in collective bargaining.

Progress on Non-monetary Items

Over the past few days, we have been making significant progress on non-monetary items. Non-monetary items are contract language that govern procedures and rights and have no direct costs to employers. 

Our Bargaining Committee has been engaged in constructive discussions with UBC and we have been able to find common ground on many important issues. Read more about Bargaining Update - April 2023

Bargaining Update: Housekeeping, Framing the Work Relationship, and Protecting Members with Chronic Illness

We had our second bargaining session with UBC yesterday and had a productive meeting. 

Housekeeping and Framing the Work Relationship

We reached an agreement on a number of small housekeeping matters.

We also had fruitful discussions on how AAPS and UBC can modernize the way in which we frame our work relationship. Bargaining Update: Proposals Exchanged

Yesterday was our first bargaining session with UBC. After starting the meeting with introductions and protocol discussions, both parties had the opportunity to exchange proposals.
