Merit and Bargaining Updates

Dear AAPS members,

We hope you are all doing well. We have updates on both our merit grievance and on collective bargaining.

Merit Update

We are happy to announce that we have reached a settlement with the University on our merit grievance. This settlement will ensure that all merit eligible members get the increases they are entitled to as quickly as possible.

Please note that the University has asked for some time to inform University leaders with budget responsibilities about the details of the settlement. We will announce more details later this week.

Bargaining Update

We are also happy to announce that our bargaining committee has reached a tentative agreement with the University. To respect the confidentiality of the agreement, we will not be sharing details until the AAPS Board of Directors has had the time to review and discuss it at the next Board meeting. Please keep an eye on your email inbox on March 18 for the full details of the tentative agreement.

If the Board approves the agreement and recommends ratification, we will be scheduling information sessions so members can ask questions about the tentative agreement in advance of a ratification vote. We will announce details about information sessions and the ratification vote in our email on March 18 that informs members of the changes to the agreement.

Please note that we cannot answer any specifics about either the merit settlement or the tentative agreement at this time. We will share more details with you in future updates.
