ELASTIC Leadership for Professionals
Program Summary
People are being asked to stretch all the time, but often in too many directions for too long. What does it take to stretch in healthy and helpful ways without snapping, snapping back, or losing your shape? In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore how to find and stay in your zone of optimal stretch. We’ll draw on the metaphor of elasticity to help you clarify what is fixed and what is flexible for you in contexts of constant change. We’ll also use ELASTIC as a memorable acronym for desirable skills of responsive leaders, exploring strategies to build your energy, likeability, adaptability, strategy, trust, imagination and curiosity. Grounded in recent research behind a 2023 book by this same title, this session will increase your nimbleness and resilience as a leader.
