2025 Collective Agreement Fully Ratified and In Effect

Dear AAPS members,

We are pleased to report that the University has ratified the 2025 Collective Agreement, and the new agreement is now in effect. Now that both AAPS and the employer have ratified the agreement, both parties are now working on implementing the new terms of the agreement.

Please note that the new SEBs will have to be registered with the federal government before they can take effect. The University has indicated it has begun the registration process. We will update you when the new SEBs are registered and in effect.

2025 Tentative Agreement Now Ratified
May 8, 2026

Dear AAPS Members,

We are writing to inform you of the results of the 2025 Tentative Agreement ratification vote.

2228 of you voted in favour and 336 voted against, along with one abstention. With 86.86% of you voting in favour, the vote passes.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in the ratification vote. 40.6% you took the time to educate yourself about the contract and exercise your vote. We appreciate the time and effort you all took into making an informed choice.

Next Steps

Now that you have ratified the agreement, the employer must ratify it too. The UBC Board of Governors is scheduled to meet on June 18th, and will vote on ratifying the agreement then.
