Over the past year, we have held a number of consultations to better understand the issues that matter most to you and what you need to improve your overall quality of life.

One of the key issues that is frequently raised is improved public transportation. Many of you have expressed how important reliable and safe public transit is. You have shared how it is not just a convenience, but a lifeline that gets you to work, to your home, and to access the different supports you need.

Support Amidst Conflict in the Middle East

We understand that the recent escalations of conflicts in the Middle East have been impacting many of you. The large scale of attacks, confusing ceasefire circumstances, and significant civilian casualties in places like Iran have been distressing for many. The uncertainty can be incredibly upsetting for anyone with family and friends living in the region who may be impacted by airstrikes, evacuation orders, and any further escalations that put civilians at risk. Message to Members Regarding Pause on Merit-based Salary Increases

Dear AAPS members,

We are aware of the announcement that the University is pausing merit-based salary increases for AAPS members, as well as other university staff groups, based on guidance from the Public Sector Employers’ Council (PSEC).
